Radial Joinery provides specialist installation for the bespoke timber joinery manufactured in our own Lincoln workshop. Correct installation is an important part of every joinery project. Windows, doors and fitted furniture must be carefully measured, manufactured, fitted and adjusted so they work properly, perform as intended and suit the surrounding property.

By managing the project from the initial measurements and design through to workshop manufacture and final fitting, we can consider important installation details before production begins.

Manufactured and Installed by Radial Joinery

Our joinery is made to order for the individual property, opening or available space. Once manufacture and finishing are complete, the joinery is installed by our own team where installation forms part of the agreed project.

Installation Planned Before Manufacture

Because we manufacture the joinery ourselves, we can plan for the installation requirements from the beginning of the project. This may include considering existing openings, surrounding plasterwork, uneven walls, original architectural details, access restrictions and the practical requirements of an occupied property.

For windows and doors, we consider the opening, frame construction, ironmongery, glazing, weather protection and finishing requirements. For fitted furniture, we account for walls, floors, ceilings, skirting boards, electrical points and other existing features.

This joined-up approach helps reduce avoidable fitting problems and gives us greater control over the finished result.

Timber Window and Door Installation

We install the timber windows and bespoke doors manufactured for our projects, including purpose-made joinery for modern homes, period properties and listed buildings.

Installation may include removing the existing joinery, preparing the opening, fitting and adjusting the new frame or product, installing the agreed ironmongery and completing the associated finishing work included within the quotation.

Where external joinery is manufactured using Accoya, our installation work forms part of a complete approach designed to support the stability, durability and long-term performance of the finished product. Radial Joinery is an Accoya Approved Manufacturer.

Fitted Furniture Installation

Our fitted furniture is designed and manufactured around the individual room. Installation may involve fitting cabinetry around alcoves, sloping ceilings, uneven walls, chimney breasts, skirting boards and other existing features.

Projects include alcove units, media furniture, home offices, wardrobes, window seats and bespoke storage. Components are prepared in our Lincoln workshop before being carefully assembled, fitted and adjusted at the property.

Heritage and Period Property Installation

Older and listed properties often require a more considered approach. Openings may be uneven, original details may need to be retained and replacement joinery may need to reproduce existing proportions, mouldings and construction details.

Our heritage joinery service includes the manufacture and installation of traditional timber windows, doors, mouldings and architectural features for period and listed properties.

Requirements relating to listed building consent, conservation approval and Building Regulations depend on the individual property and proposed work.

Careful Installation in Your Property

Our team takes care when working in occupied homes, period properties and commercial buildings. We aim to protect the surrounding area, minimise unnecessary disruption and keep the workspace organised throughout the installation.

At the end of the work, the installed joinery is checked and adjusted so it operates correctly. Any care or maintenance information relevant to the materials, finishes or ironmongery can also be discussed as part of the project handover.
