Bespoke Floor to Ceiling Wardrobe in Lincoln

Radial Joinery designed and installed this bespoke floor to ceiling wardrobe in Lincoln to maximise storage while keeping a refined raised shaker style. Client Brief

The client wanted a fitted wardrobe for Orlaith’s room with plenty of hanging space, adjustable shelving and built-in drawers. At the same time, the design needed to keep a traditional look.

We built the wardrobe as two full-height double units. One side of the lower section includes three drawers to provide extra storage.

A key feature of this installation is the raised moulding on the doors. We also matched the end panel to the door design so the wardrobe looks like part of the room instead of a separate unit.

The far right door includes a framed mirror on the inside. This adds practicality while keeping the outside of the wardrobe clean and simple.

Materials and Finish

We made this bespoke wardrobe in Lincoln using ash veneered MDF together with Medite moisture resistant MDF. These materials provide strength, stability and a smooth surface for finishing.

We finished the ash parts in Osmo Hardwax Oil to highlight the natural grain. The doors and front panels were spray finished in Little Greene “Slaked Lime Deep (150)” to give a durable painted finish.

Integrated LED Lighting

We installed vertical LED strips inside the wardrobe to improve visibility. Door sensors switch the lights on automatically when the doors open. This keeps the interior easy to see without using visible switches.

Final Detailing

The client chose bespoke handles which we fitted during a return visit once they arrived. This allowed the final details to match the rest of the room perfectly.
