We designed, made and installed bespoke alcove units and shelving at this property in Lincoln. The customer wanted traditional fitted furniture that matched the style of the house and improved storage. The project included two alcove areas in different rooms. We measured each space so the new cabinets and shelving would fit perfectly. Purpose made joinery gives better proportions and cleaner lines than standard furniture.
Period Style Alcove Cabinets with Traditional Mouldings
The client wanted the new units to look original to the property. We used traditional panel details and mouldings to create a period style finish. This type of work is similar to many of our bespoke wardrobes in Lincoln and fitted furniture projects where the joinery must suit the room.
We fitted lower cabinets with panelled doors and soft close hinges. The upper sections were built with open shelving for books and display items. The client supplied the handles, which were fitted after installation.
Moisture Resistant MDF with Tulip Mouldings
We made all units using Finsa Hidrofugo moisture resistant MDF. This material stays stable and gives a smooth painted finish. We used tulip timber for the mouldings so we could form clean profiles and sharp details.
These materials give a strong cabinet that paints well and lasts for many years.
Workshop Manufacture and On Site Installation in Lincoln
