Bespoke Alcove Wardrobes with Oak Internals in Lincoln
We designed, manufactured and installed these bespoke alcove wardrobes for a property on Western Crescent in Lincoln. The customer wanted full height fitted wardrobes within the bedroom recesses to improve storage and create a cleaner, more balanced layout.
The project included two made to measure wardrobe units with adjustable shelving, double hanging sections and painted shaker doors. This type of work forms part of our bespoke wardrobes in Lincoln and wider fitted storage furniture in Lincoln services.
Made to Measure Alcove Wardrobes
We built both wardrobes specifically around the alcove spaces to create a fitted appearance and maximise storage. Because the furniture was purpose made, the wardrobes fully use the room height and fit neatly within the recesses without wasted space.
One wardrobe section includes adjustable shelving for flexible storage. The remaining sections include double hanging rails to increase clothing storage while keeping the layout practical and easy to use.
During the drawing stage, we altered the shelving layout to better suit the customer’s requirements. The final design used larger shelf openings rather than smaller cubby hole sections to improve usability.
Oak Veneered Internals and Painted Shaker Doors
We manufactured the wardrobe internals using oak veneered MDF and finished them with Osmo oil to enhance and protect the timber finish. We made the external doors and fillers using Medite Premium moisture resistant MDF to provide a stable surface for painting.
The doors feature a traditional three panel shaker design with wider 70mm rails and stiles to create a more substantial appearance. We spray finished all visible external sections in brilliant white to achieve a smooth and consistent painted finish.
Soft close hinges, chrome hanging rails and small chrome pull knobs complete the installation.
