Bespoke solid ash sliding doors with veneered panels designed to conceal boiler and airing cupboard

Overview

Sliding Wardrobe Doors Lincolnshire

We designed and installed sliding wardrobe doors in Lincolnshire for a property in Digby. The client needed a practical way to conceal a boiler and airing cupboard while improving the finish of the room.

Instead of traditional hinged doors, we built a pair of sliding wardrobe doors measuring approximately two metres square. This approach saved space and allowed easy access without blocking the room.

We constructed the doors using solid ash frames to ensure strength and long-term stability. We then added veneered ash panels to create a consistent grain pattern across the full width. As a result, the doors feel balanced and refined while remaining durable.

After installation, we spray finished the doors in a deep blue tone. This finish enhances the natural ash grain and creates a bold yet contemporary feature.

Sliding wardrobe doors work particularly well where space is limited. In addition, they provide a clean and uninterrupted appearance. Because the doors slide rather than swing, they improve access without interfering with furniture or walkways.

We regularly manufacture fitted storage and custom sliding systems across Lincolnshire. You can view more of our fitted storage projects here:
