Our initial visit to the client's location was crucial in understanding their specific needs and preferences. We engaged in a detailed discussion to gather insights into the design elements and features that the customer desired. By taking precise measurements and conducting a thorough consultation, we were able to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements. This step was essential in laying the foundation for the subsequent stages of the process.  Following the consultation, we proceeded to create several CAD drawings that encapsulated the envisioned design. These drawings served as visual representations of the proposed unit, allowing the customer to review and provide feedback. The use of advanced technology enabled us to present multiple options for the client to consider, ensuring that the final product would align with their expectations. This collaborative approach facilitated effective communication and ensured that the design met the customer's specifications.  Subsequently, we commenced the manufacturing process in our dedicated workshop and spray booth, maintaining a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship. The unit was meticulously crafted from oak veneered boards, featuring a solid oak work surface for durability and aesthetic appeal. The incorporation of moisture-resistant MDF for the frontals, along with soft-close hinges and drawer runners, underscored our attention to detail. The bespoke wall-to-wall shelving, storage units, and shaker style doors were meticulously constructed to deliver a seamless and functional solution. The finishing touch of a spray-applied paint finish in Pompeian Ash from The Little Greene Paint Company added a touch of elegance to the custom storage unit.

Bespoke Storage Unit in Lincoln – Floor to Ceiling Fitted Furniture

Radial Joinery designed and installed this bespoke storage unit in Lincoln to create a full height fitted shelving and cupboard system. The customer wanted a wall to wall unit that could store office equipment while also displaying photos, awards and personal items. Wall to Wall Fitted Storage

The unit was designed to run from floor to ceiling and across the full width of the wall. Because of this, the furniture looks built into the room instead of standing separately. Fitted furniture allows every part of the space to be used while keeping the room neat and balanced.

The customer needed storage for printers, office equipment and paperwork, but they also wanted display shelves for family photos, trophies and awards.

Combination of Shelving, Cupboards and Hidden Storage

We designed the unit with a mix of open shelving and closed cupboards. The open sections allow display space, while the cupboards keep office work hidden from view.

This layout keeps the room tidy while still making the furniture useful every day. Projects like this are often completed alongside our bespoke wardrobes in Lincoln and other fitted furniture where storage needs to suit the room exactly.

Built in Our Workshop for a Clean Finish

We manufactured the storage unit in our workshop before fitting it on site in Lincoln. Building the furniture in the workshop allows better accuracy and a higher quality finish.

Once installed, the unit was fixed securely to the wall so it looks fully built in and solid.

Spray Finished Bespoke Joinery

After fitting, we spray finished the unit to give a smooth and even surface. Spray finishing creates a cleaner result than brush painting and helps the furniture match the rest of the room.

A sprayed finish also improves durability, which is important for fitted furniture used every day.
