Overview

Bespoke Timber Front & Back Doors in Nocton, Lincolnshire

Radial Joinery designed, manufactured and installed a pair of bespoke timber doors for this property in Nocton, Lincolnshire. The project included a six-panel front door and a set of glazed rear doors, both spray finished in a heritage blue. This type of work forms part of our bespoke timber doors in Lincoln and our wider bespoke joinery services in Lincoln.

The client wanted to replace the existing doors with something more substantial while improving insulation, security and durability. Traditional detailing was also important so the new doors matched the stone façade of the property.

Projects like this often sit alongside our heritage and period joinery in Lincoln, where new joinery must suit the character of the building.

Six Panel Hardwood Front Door

We manufactured a bespoke six-panel hardwood front door with the top two panels glazed. Bolection mouldings were added around the panels to create depth and give the door a traditional appearance.

The new frame includes a two-part Stormguard threshold and a solid oak cill. We fitted brass ironmongery including a ring knocker, letter plate and handle.

For security, the door is fitted with a multi-point locking system and a five-star thumb-turn euro cylinder.

Accoya Rear Doors for Stability and Durability

To the rear of the property, we installed a pair of bespoke glazed timber doors made from Accoya and oak. This combination provides excellent stability and long-term resistance to movement.

The doors include soft-coat, argon-filled double glazing with warm edge spacer bars to improve thermal performance. The main door leaf is fitted with a multi-point lock and high-security cylinder.

We repeated the bolection moulding detail so the front and rear doors match in style.

Spray Finished Heritage Blue

Both door sets were spray finished in a colour-matched heritage blue. Spray finishing creates a smooth, even coating and gives better durability than brush painting.

A professional spray finish also helps reduce maintenance and keeps the doors looking good for longer.

The completed installation improves the appearance of the property while providing better insulation, security and weather protection. Bespoke timber doors allow the design to suit the building rather than using standard sizes.
