Bespoke Media Room Storage Unit with Oak Top in Branston, Lincoln

We designed and manufactured this bespoke freestanding storage unit for a family home in Branston, Lincoln. The unit was created for a dedicated cinema room, where the client wanted practical storage for snacks and drinks while keeping a clean, furniture-style appearance.

Because this was a main feature within the room, the design needed to feel like a piece of high-quality furniture rather than a standard cabinet.

Freestanding Inframe Style Storage Unit

We built the unit in a traditional inframe style, which gives a more premium look and feel compared to standard cabinet construction. The doors were made in a shaker style with clean moulding detail to keep the design simple and timeless.

As a result, the finished unit works well within the space while still standing out as a feature piece.

Integrated Fridge for Practical Use

A key part of this project was incorporating a built-in fridge within the unit. This allows the family to store drinks and snacks conveniently without needing to leave the cinema room.

Because of this, the unit is not just decorative but also highly functional for everyday use.

Oak Worktop and Quality Materials

We fitted a solid oak top to the unit, which adds warmth and contrast against the painted cabinetry. The cabinet itself was manufactured using moisture resistant MDF, providing a stable and durable base for a painted finish.

In addition, we fitted quality hinges and hardware to ensure smooth operation and long-term reliability.

Prepared for Hand Finished Decoration

The unit was supplied in a prepared state, ready for the client’s own decorator to apply the final hand-painted finish. This approach allows the colour and final look to match perfectly with the rest of the room.

As a result, the unit integrates seamlessly into the overall design of the cinema space.
