Mock Ceiling Beams in Nocton, Lincolnshire
We manufactured and installed these bespoke mock ceiling beams at a property in Nocton, Lincolnshire. The customer wanted to add more character to the rooms while recreating the appearance of traditional timber beams.
We made the beams in pine and sized them to suit each area of the property. The finished beams added warmth, texture and stronger period character throughout the home.
This project forms part of our heritage and period joinery in Lincoln service as well as our wider bespoke joinery services in Lincoln.
Bespoke Pine Mock Beams
We manufactured each mock beam using pine sections to create the appearance of large original structural timbers. This method gives the look of solid beams without the excessive weight of reclaimed timber.
The pine grain, knots and natural markings helped create a more authentic appearance. Once fitted, the beams looked more in keeping with the style of the property.
Traditional Character Features
The beams helped break up large ceiling areas and added more depth to the rooms. They also created a stronger traditional feel throughout the property.
After installation, the customer applied a darker stain finish to enhance the aged appearance of the timber. The darker finish complemented the surrounding décor and period styling.
Projects like this work well in both traditional and modern homes. Mock beams can add character without major structural alterations.
