Bespoke Under Stairs Storage in Digby, Lincoln

We designed and installed bespoke under stairs storage in Digby, Lincoln. The goal was simple. Improve storage in the entrance hall and keep the style in line with the property.

This project included under stairs cupboards, fitted units around the front door, replacement kitchen doors and full wall panelling. As a result, the space now works better and looks more complete.

Bespoke Under Stairs Storage

We built the under stairs storage to follow the exact line of the staircase. This allowed us to use every part of the space.

The layout includes drawers, shelving and a bin storage area. Because everything is made to measure, it fits properly and avoids wasted space.

We also added fitted cupboards and open shelving either side of the front door. This creates extra storage without making the hallway feel tight.

Georgian Style Wall Panelling

We installed Georgian style wall panelling throughout the entrance hall. This helps tie the whole area together.

The panel layout was set out to suit the room proportions. We added a new top rail and skirting boards. At the same time, we kept the existing architraves where possible.

As a result, the new work blends with the original features.

Materials and Finish

We used moisture resistant MDF for the main structure. In addition, we used oak veneered MDF where a timber finish was needed.

We spray primed all painted parts to give a smooth base for decoration. We finished the oak sections with hardwax oil to protect the surface and bring out the grain.

Fitted with soft close hinges and drawer runners. This improves the feel and ensures long term use.

Additional Joinery Work

We made and fitted two new kitchen doors under the sink. These match the existing style and are ready for painting.
