Bespoke Sapele External Door in Burton, Lincoln

We made and fitted this bespoke external door for a property in Burton, near Lincoln. The customer wanted to replace an older rear entrance door with something stronger, more secure and better suited to the property.

We manufactured the new door and frame from Sapele hardwood. Sapele gives excellent strength and stability for external joinery. We finished the door in a spray-applied white paint system inside and out for a clean and traditional appearance.

Bespoke Hardwood Door and Frame

The new door used a simple 2XGG glazed design. The large glazed panels allow more natural light into the entrance area while keeping the design clean and practical.

We fitted Pilkington clear toughened double glazing with 4/16/4 argon-filled units and warm edge spacer bars. This improved thermal performance compared with the original door.

Traditional External Joinery

We fitted the door with a multi-point locking system, brass hinges, brass handles and an open-in weather threshold. These details help improve security and everyday use while keeping a traditional appearance.

The white painted finish works well against the stonework and keeps the entrance looking bright and tidy. The glazed design also helps bring more light into the property.
