Bespoke Sapele Stable Door in Washingborough, Lincoln
This Sapele stable door in Washingborough, Lincoln, was made to replace an old plywood flush door on a garage. The existing door had failed, so the client wanted a stronger, longer-lasting timber door that suited the opening and improved security.
We manufactured the new door in Sapele, a durable hardwood often used for external joinery. The door was built as a traditional stable door. Giving the client the option to open the top section independently while keeping the lower section closed.

The door was boarded with tongue and groove boards and framed to give it a more traditional appearance than the previous flat ply door. This helped turn a tired garage entrance into a more practical and better-looking feature.
We fitted brass ironmongery, including hinges and handle furniture, along with a 5 lever mortice lock for improved security. The client also supplied a cat flap, which we carefully incorporated into the lower section of the door.
Bespoke Garage Door Replacement
Because the door was made to measure, we could design it around the existing garage opening. Rather than relying on a standard off-the-shelf size. This allowed for a cleaner fit and a more suitable replacement for the failed door.
Projects like this form part of our bespoke timber doors in Lincoln service, as well as our wider joinery services in Lincoln.
