Hallway Wall Panelling, Skirting & Architrave in Skellingthorpe

We designed and installed bespoke hallway wall panelling in Skellingthorpe as part of a wider entrance hall project for a private client.

The work included decorative wall panelling throughout the hall, together with new skirting boards and architraves downstairs. The aim was to create one consistent design that worked with the proportions of the hallway and linked naturally with the adjoining staircase.

Hallway Wall Panelling in Skellingthorpe

We set out the panelling carefully to suit the shape of the hall and the position of the doors, corners and staircase. This allowed the panels to flow naturally around the space rather than looking like a standard system fitted without regard for the room.

We used softwood mouldings to create the decorative panel layout. We then fitted each section on site and left the completed panelling ready for the client’s decorator.

The panel sizes and spacing played an important part in the finished appearance. Good wall panelling needs to suit the room rather than simply follow fixed measurements. Therefore, we adjusted the layout to work with the existing architecture.

New Skirting Boards and Architraves

Alongside the wall panelling, we also supplied and fitted new skirting boards and architraves throughout the downstairs hallway.

We supplied these sections with a factory-applied primer. This gave the decorator a prepared surface ready for the final finish on site.

Combining the panelling, skirting and architraves created a more complete result. Each element now works as part of the same joinery scheme.

Linked Bespoke Under-Stairs Storage

As part of the same hallway project, we also designed and manufactured bespoke under-stairs storage in Skellingthorpe.

The storage includes two large pull-out drawers. We designed the drawer fronts to match the surrounding wall panelling so they blend into the hallway when closed.

This gave the client practical hidden storage without interrupting the decorative design of the hall.
