Bespoke Sapele Double Doors in Boothby Graffoe
We manufactured and installed these bespoke Sapele double doors and matching side panel for a property in Boothby Graffoe, Lincolnshire.
The client wanted a clean and simple boarded design that suited both the interior and exterior of the property. The new doors replaced a wider opening and needed to feel solid, practical and in keeping with the character of the building.
This project forms part of our bespoke timber doors in Lincoln service as well as our wider bespoke joinery services in Lincoln.
Bespoke Sapele Double Doors in Boothby Graffoe
We manufactured the doors in Sapele using a boarded design both internally and externally. This gave the doors a consistent appearance from both sides while also creating a more substantial feel.
Sapele works well for external joinery because it offers good durability and stability. The timber also gives a warmer and more natural appearance than factory made alternatives.
Matching Side Panel and Unfinished Timber Finish
Alongside the pair of doors, we also manufactured a matching side panel to complete the opening correctly and keep the boarded detailing consistent across the full frame.
The client chose to leave the joinery unfinished so they could apply their own final finish on site. This allowed them to control the final appearance and match the surrounding timber features within the property.
The finished result created a strong set of bespoke external doors that suited the stonework and overall style of the building.
