Bespoke Sapele Internal Doors in Lincoln
We manufactured and installed these bespoke internal doors in Lincoln to replace an older pair of dated pine doors between the dining room and kitchen.
The customer wanted a higher quality timber door set that suited the property better. While also improving the practicality of the opening.
This project forms part of our bespoke timber doors in Lincoln service as well as our wider bespoke joinery services in Lincoln.
Bespoke 2xGG Style Internal Doors
The doors were manufactured in Sapele and built in a traditional 2xGG style with glazed upper sections and raised and fielded lower panels.
The glazed sections help maintain natural light between the rooms while still creating separation between the kitchen and dining space.
Unequal Pair Door Design
Rather than producing the doors as an equal pair. We designed the opening with a main active door and a smaller secondary leaf.
This allows the doorway to function as a normal single door for everyday use. Giving the option to fully open the space when larger access is required.
It is a practical layout that works particularly well between kitchen and dining areas where furniture, entertaining or general movement occasionally requires a wider opening.
Solid Timber Joinery
Sapele is a durable hardwood that machines well and gives a clean traditional appearance. The timber grain and warmer tones help give the doors a more refined look compared to the original pine doors.
All joinery was purpose made to suit the exact opening for a clean fitted finish.
