Accoya Windows & Front Door Review in Branston Booths

This Accoya windows and front door Branston Booths review comes from Bill, a returning Radial Joinery client who has now asked us to complete three different projects at his property.

The original project began with the replacement of old aluminium windows fitted within a stone opening. It later developed to include a matching bespoke Accoya front door and arched window.

Bill has since invited us back to complete further joinery, including large internal oak doors and a detailed fitted media unit with oak worktops, display cabinets and matching wall panelling.

Accoya Windows and Front Door in Branston Booths

Bill had spent several years trying to find someone who could replace the old aluminium windows without damaging the surrounding stone.

The shape and condition of the original opening required careful measurement, manufacture and installation. Bill was understandably concerned that the fragile stone could be damaged as the old units were removed and the new joinery fitted.

The new Accoya joinery was manufactured specifically for the property. As Bill explains in his review, the finished windows fitted cleanly into the existing openings and the installation went smoothly.

The project later included a bespoke arched Accoya entrance door and matching timber window. You can view the completed work here:

Decorative Glazing Designed by the Client

The entrance opening had experienced movement over the life of the property, so the new door and frame needed to be made around the existing shape rather than treated as a standard opening.

Bill also chose the design for the decorative leaded glass. This introduced a personal detail into the new entrance while keeping the overall appearance suitable for the age and character of the house.

Returning for Further Bespoke Joinery

Following the external window and door project, Bill asked Radial Joinery to return for further work.

This included large internal oak doors and a fitted cabinet project that developed into a complete media unit. The later installation included glazed display cabinets, oak worktops, integrated lighting, hidden cabling, equipment cooling and oak wall panelling.

Client Review

“I have engaged Radial Joinery on three projects now. But I would like to refer to the original project which started with Windows an ended up including a matching front door.

I had spent years trying to get some old aluminium windows replaced in my stone window, and was recommended to speak to Ian, well the results speak for themselves.

What amazed me is the “pickled wood” windows slotted straight in, I was worried the fragile stone might break, but no everything went perfectly.

The same for the front door, mine is an old house and the door entrance has some historic slippage, but again everything went brilliantly. I was able to choose my own design for the lead glasswork which added a nice personal feel to the new door.

I would certainly recommend Radial, as i started with, i have had them back for large “Internal Oak doors” and some fitted cabinet and skirting works.”
